- How to effectively communicate students’ progress
- How to provide constructive feedback that will motivate and benefit students
- The standards and ministry expectations that dictate what assessment is
- What methods of assessment are used, and are most effective when assessing students with exceptionalities?
WHAT I HAVE LEARNED
- I have learned that formative feedback serves to benefit both the student and the teacher. This practice fosters growth and allows educators to reflect on their teaching practices, in order to enhance student achievement.
- I have learned that methods of assessment can vary amongst students.
- I have began exploring ministry documents and strategies used as considered effective when assessing students with Exceptionalities and English Language Learners.
- I have learned that learning about assessment practices itself is an ongoing process.
